WHAT IS KANGEN WATER®?

Kangen means “Return To Origin” in Japan. Kangen Water® is alkaline water produced by Enagic WATER ionizer machines. For more than 47 years, Kangen Water® has been used in Japan for decades to help restore the body to its original, alkaline state. Reality Of Alkaline Water

If you are buying bottled water that is labeled “Alkaline”, or adding a tablet to your water, you are drinking this type of inorganic chemically created alkaline water, and you could very easily just be drinking expensive water has no proven benefits.

The water’s pH level has been inorganically raised above 7.0 by the addition of synthetic minerals such as magnesium, calcium, potassium, and baking soda

Often when people are referring to “alkaline water”, they are referring to chemically altered water. This type of alkaline water is water that has gone thru a CHEMICAL change to increase its pH balance.

This Alkaline Water has little to no proven health benefits, and it is not Kangen Water®.

How your Ordinary Clean water becomes Kangen Water®?

STEP 1: FILTRATION – the internal High-Grade Filter filters chlorine, unpleasant taste and odor, and reduces sediments up to 5 micrometers to produce Clean Water.

STEP 2: ELECTROLYSIS through several* electrode plates and membranes, the filtered water is separated into acidic and alkaline parts. Water is split into OH- (hydroxide ions) and H+ (hydrogen ions).

The hydrogen ions react with electrons given by the cathode (– ve charged electrode), forming H2, molecular Hydrogen. Hydroxide ions remain, making the water more alkaline around the cathode. Conversely, close to the anode (+ ve charged electrode), hydroxide ions give electrons to the anode, eventually forming O2 (Oxygen). Hydrogen ions remain, making the water more acidic around the anode. The two kinds of water are separated by membranes and released through different hoses.

Kangen Water® Properties

Ionized Alkaline Kangen Water®:

As with most things in life, optimal health begins with balance. Our bodies must maintain a pH balance of 7.365, which is slightly alkaline. A pH scale is used to determine whether a substance is acidic or alkaline. On this scale 7.0 is neutral. Anything above 7 is considered alkaline and anything below 7 is considered acidic. 

Kangen Water® raised clean water pH by ionizing or splitting the water molecules (H2O resulting in the ions H+ (hydrogen with a positive electrical charge), and OH (hydrogen with a negative electric charge), as well as ionic alkaline minerals.

Micro-Clustered Water:

Water Molecules gather together in groups known as “clusters”. In water, these groups are normally 15 – 20 molecules, which are called “macro-clusters” and can only be absorbed into parts of the body where the entire cluster of molecules will fit. During the ionization process, electricity surges through the water, break the clusters into smaller groups into 5 – 6 molecules, called “micro-clusters.

Hydrogen Enriched Water: 

The molecule of hydrogen water is small enough to penetrate into cells deeply, The utmost thing is hydrogen water can neutralize ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) which are notorious for destroying normal cells or distorting DNAs. Besides, you can also enjoy helpful minerals dissolved in hydrogen water.

Water that is Hydrogen rich has a high concentration of Molecular Hydrogen (H2). Molecular Hydrogen acts as an efficient antioxidant that diffuses rapidly across cell membranes and can reduce free radicals, suppressing oxidative stress.

Hydrogen rich water is characterised by exhibiting a negative ORP. A high ORP value (in positive numbers), indicates that a substance has a higher oxidising potential. In generalised terms, for humans a positive or high ORP is better for the outside of the body (cleaning and sanitising).
A low ORP value (in negative numbers) indicates that a substance has a higher antioxidising potential, and is preferred for oral consumption.
Just like pH, ORP values are an important measurement for determining the quality of water.

Oxidant, by definition, is an oxidizing agent, while antioxidant is any substance that acts to slow or prevent the oxidation of another chemical.

Oxidation actually means Rusting and it’s an ongoing process of degeneration. What happens when you cut an apple and let it sit out for 20 minutes? It turns brown. This process is called oxidation “The apple is now rusting”. The oxygen in the air begins to burn the surface of whatever it touches, breaking it down.

Oxidation reactions in the body can produce free radicals, while antioxidants terminate these reactions. ORP is measured in mill volts (mv) using an ORP meter.

Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) is a measurement that indicates the degree to which a substance is capable of Oxidizing or Anti-Oxidizing another substance.

In an effort to reach a state of stability, substances that are lacking electrons are desperately seeking out electrons wherever these substances are referred to as Oxidizing agents. (in simple words needy take loan from a bank)

On the other side, substances which have a surplus of electrons are capable of donating their extra electrons: these substances are referred to as Anti-Oxidizing Agents – which is good. ( in simple words You have savings and deposits in a bank).

In the world that we live in, there is a continuous exchange of electrons that takes place between substances in the air, in the earth, in water, and in our bodies.  This phenomenon is known as ion exchange (eg we got a shock in winter because Static electricity is produced when the positive and negative charges of an atom are out of balance in colder, drier climates.)

Most types of water, including RO water and bottled water, are oxidizing agents as their ORP value is positive.
